In spring of 2016, Dayton Children’s introduced its new brand and began the long process of rebranding thousands of materials. Prior to this point, employees made their own materials for staff and patient families. This led to inconsistency in every way possible – Logos, design, writing style and quality, and so much clip art! They needed a solution to make sure that the new brand was protected, and the standards upheld. The brand resource center was that solution providing an “Amazon like” experience for employees to order and create materials. Over the past year and a half, they marketing team has added nearly 700 materials, received 2500 orders, and created about 30 templates for staff to create their own materials. Most importantly, they’ve helped prove the value in consistent, sophisticated branding to help elevate perception of Dayton Children’s. This presentation will go over the process of building the site, the roll out to employees, and ongoing refinements.

Kim Quill is the patient family communication coordinator at Dayton Children's Hospital.

During the Dayton Children's rebranding Kim has singlehandedly managed the rebrand or creation of thousands of materials for patients and families. Prior to her time at Dayton Children's Kim worked in marketing at CareSource. Kim is a former winner of the PRSA Dayton Young Professional award and is a longtime member of the Dayton chapter.
